A former palace built for collective housing in 1888, this building is a hidden gem in the burgeoning neighborhood of Santos. Commissioned by Marquês de Abrantes, it sits on the street that carries the same name, with all old buildings featuring iron balconies and facades fully adorned with ceramic tiles in geometric patterns. Today this building is only a short walk away from a few exciting new F&B additions to the city.
While all the common areas were recovered and restored, its main architectonic features, such as ceilings, the facade adorned in old tiles and wooden floors, were kept in its origin form. A new elevator was installed, the roof was rebuilt and the ground floor was converted into a garage. New PVC windows and infrastructures networks for electricity, water, and gas were installed.
